I have suffered for the last three years with yeast infections or what I thought was a yeast infection. After reading and studying and many trips to the doctor's office, I have finally found some relief or at the very least a way to live without all of the symptoms accompanying this dreaded embarrassing crap. I will not go into the symptoms that go along with this stuff but I will tell you I had a yeast infection without any drainage and probably 90 percent of all of the other symptoms accompanying this type of infection, only later to find out that it is a Candidal Infection. This is probably the most embarrassing thing I have every written, to admit to having this infection but after ready countless blogs, many studies and many cures (that don't work) and thousands of women and men suffering I decided to come clean and tell all of you that are suffering. I have read that studies indicate that 85% of the population are suffering from the same thing with no relief insight.
My doctor was studying for her boards and come across a very interesting study that involved me and my problem. You see, even doctors are baffled at this point in time but she contacted me and ask If I would be interested in participating in this study. This is plain and to the point so pay attention. She started me on one tablet daily of Fluconazole 100MG (Diflucan) for 14 days. Immediately after the 14 days, I started 200MG of Fluconazole for 6 months (1 tablet a week).
Now I do not know if this is a cure or what will happen afterwards or even if I will have a build up of antibiotics but for me.....I am symptom FREE for the last 3 months. No pain, no itching or swelling etc. I am only telling you what is working for me and this has made me live a normal life again.
